IBDE Program Sign Up

The Process:

After reviewing the information about the six-month IBDE program your next step is to complete our sign-up process below. We will then contact you by email or telephone within two business days to confirm receipt of your application.

We will also schedule a telephone interview with you to help determine your eligibility, provide you with detailed information about the program, and answer any questions you may have.

Note: If you are submitting your application between November 2009 and February 2010, we will be following up with you after March 1, 2010, when we will begin processing applications for our Fall 2010 session. The first step is to review the Eligibility Requirements below. We welcome applications from all interested individuals.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for this program you must:

  • have a specific interest in learning web design
  • be an adult learner
  • have basic computer skills
  • have a suitable computer with high-speed internet connection
  • be unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week
  • be legally entitled to work in Canada

*We welcome applications from all interested individuals including persons with a disability or chronic illness, stay-at-home parents, persons of First Nations descent, and others facing barriers to employment.

We require certain personal information from you in order to register you in the IBDE program. This statement explains the purpose and use of your personal information.

Only information needed for registration will be requested. Collection and use of personal information is in accordance with the Federal Privacy Act.

Information Retention

The Canadian Society for Social Development will retain personal information as long as is needed to meet legal and business requirements, after which the information is returned, destroyed, or erased.
